About Us
Our Story
Avocet Law is led by Genie Doi, a U.S. immigration attorney based in Los Angeles, California and Osaka, Japan. Founded in 2017 as immigrate.LA, the law firm updated its name and branding in 2020 to reflect our growth and renewed commitment to society.
An avocet is a migratory bird that is found worldwide and is known for being bold, highly adaptive and flourishing in new environments. Moving beyond our original “nest” of LA, Avocet Law welcomes citizens of the world to the United States with a level of care and attention that allows our clients to thrive in their new home.
